If you have been reading here for awhile you know that last year we had this sad little vegetable garden. This year we are trying to make improvements on last year's attempt. I have been doing some research and have found that there really is a lot to gardening: don't plant certain veggies close to others, don't plant your garden close to other plants, plant at the right soil temp, check the soil ph, etc. what?!? It's enough to make me want to roll over and take a nap. Admittedly, I often want to roll over and take a nap but still....
So today we made it our mission to get going on this project as we are already behind. We basically ignored all of the complicated tips and decided to just wing it (I wonder if that's why our garden didn't do so great last year?).
Our crops:
okra
tomatoes
bell peppers (red, green, yellow)
jalapeno peppers
banana peppers
cucumber (we are giving it another try and are nothing if not persistent)
watermelon

assorted herbs (rosemary, thyme, basil, lavender)
Lofty goals, I realize but we have our little slave to help us this year.
