Showers

I've been busy trying to get things ready for the baby so once again, I'm behind on my blogging.  Just imagine how it's going to be when the baby comes...
A couple of weekends ago we had our two baby showers.  First up was my shower at Eclipse De Luna.  We got lots of cute girly stuff.  I feel a little more prepared now.  A little.  I'm not sure I will ever feel totally prepared.

That Sunday our class at church gave us a shower.  We are just so thankful and feel so blessed to be surrounded by wonderful family and friends who care about us and are there to support us as we get closer to our new arrival.  We can't believe how close it is getting!

Baby Girl: An Update

Baby girl (still un-named) has really been kicking things up lately.  Sometimes I think she is trying to escape through my stomach.  Her favorite pastime seems to be dancing up under my right ribcage which makes for lots of fun for me (note the sarcasm).  At night my stomach is going all over the place.  I've been having Braxton Hicks for weeks now but my doctor tells me all is normal and as of Wednesday's appointment there is nothing to report.

Otherwise this pregnancy seems to be moving right along!  We can't believe that in a little over a 4 weeks she will be here!  I'm beginning to feel majorly unprepared.  But ready at the same time if that makes sense.

Etsy Girl Picks

This week marks week 31 of pregnancy.  Oh this discomfort.  Baby girl has decided to lodge herself right up under my right rib, which makes for some fun times (note the sarcasm).  Only 9 more weeks to go though.  So I've been doing some Etsy surfing and found some of the cutest stuff.  I'm warming up to the whole shopping for girl stuff thing.

Boy Oh Boy (er um, Girl)...

Boy oh boy are we in trouble.  I've always said that girl stuff is so much cuter.  One day into knowing that we are having a girl and I've already bought two outfits and am looking at bedding.  Expensive bedding.  But it's just so darn cute.

Don't worry, I can't bring myself to pay $600 for baby bedding but oh the cuteness.  I can't stand it.  And that's just bedding!  Don't get me started on clothes.  I will say that looking at girl clothes seems so wrong after years of buying boy clothes.  I'm still in the habit of veering over the the boy side.  I'm sure it's something I will adapt to quickly.

12 Years

Twelve years ago from December 6th Casey and I had our first date!  We were just spring chickens back then.  It's hard to remember a time B.C. (before Casey).  As a surprise (and believe me when I say it was a surprise) Casey brought these home for me:

Another Wood baby is on the way!  We went to the doctor on our "anniversary" and found out the new little one is due on July 19th.  We are super excited!  No sickness yet,  just a whole lot of exhaustion.  It makes me thankful that Hud is still on the two naps a day plan.  It allows for a nap for me as well.

We did some Christmas shopping and ate dinner at Genghis Grill where you get to assemble your own food.  You pick your meat, what spices go on the meat, your veggies, your sauce and your starch.  We decided that I'm the better cook... assembler?... food picker?  By we, I mean me.
