A Girl and Her Hat

We broke out the new hat today.

 And of course someone was getting j-e-a-l-o-u-s and wanted me to take a picture of his hat.

The Hat

So I couldn't resist.  I bought a hat for Finley for the summer.  Yes, I know it's February.

Hockey Game

Super Bowl weekend we went another sport route and took the kids to a hockey game.  

 We have taken Hudson before but he was very young and didn't have much intrest.  This time Cole and company came with us along with "Popo". 

 Hockey has it's newest fan in Hudson.  He sat almost the entire time and stared.  He kept talking about "the boys playing ball down there on the ice."  He was especially obsessed with the zambonie.  He was on the edge of his seat.

Fin liked it as well.

Sick and Stir Crazy

Some days it gets super hard to be home with the kids.  By the time the afternoon rolls around sometimes I'm ready to pull my hair out.  

 Last week we were all sick and going stir crazy.  After the kids had their naps we took a little walk around the neighborhood in the new wagon and Hudson played on our tiny neighborhood playground.  

Sometimes it helps to escape for even a little bit.  It brings out some smiles.

Little Bit

Our little tiny girl is shrinking.

 I took her into the doctor for some tummy issues last week and it turns out she hasn't gained any weight since her last appointment a couple of months ago.  In fact she has lost a few ounces.  The doctor has us trying to plump her up.

We knew she was small.  For sure smaller than Hudson was.

I got curious and started looking at pictures of Hudson to compare pictures of him at this age.  He was getting his first haircut.

The Bumbo

I had never heard of a Bumbo until I had kids.... of course there are a lot of things I hadn't heard of until I had kids but I digress.  This is a Bumbo.

Obviously for babies to sit in.  Not for 2 year olds to pee in as mine did yesterday.  Just pulled his pants down and started peeing in it.  It guess it kinds does look like a potty...

 

I was laughing to hard to discipline properly.

Drama Queen

We fed Finley "cereal" for the first time on Tuesday.

She hates it.

I'm used to my good eater who was borderline obese as an infant.  This ticky eating isn't going to fly around here.  Yesterday and today she was literally gagging and spiting it out.  Drama.  I don't even think she is keeping anything down.

Halloween: Year 3

The first year that we took Hudson trick or treating he was in tears getting in his costume, actually in his costume, in the car...  Last year he kept rubbing his makeup off, it got on his costume, he wouldn't leave his wig on, he was crying.... This year he woke up ill from his nap, was crying, his nose was running all over the place which made him cry worse...  

 Plus this year we has another crier to add to the mix.

Feel the burn.  

The weights were not my idea.  Hubby thought it would be hilarious.

Once we started trick or treating the tears dried up and Hudson was so into it.  He loved ringing doorbells and grabbing candy.  Finley did great too.  She started getting hungry and had to quit early but was a champ otherwise.

Pumpkin

 No, not that kind of pumpkin.  This kind:

 Saturday we had a family outing to a local pumpkin patch to pick up a couple of pumpkins.  Hudson picked a little one for himself and a big tall one for us to carve.  He and Casey worked on it after lunch.  Hudson helped him scoop out the guts and helped me pick out the seeds to roast in the oven.

Playing Nice

I'm sure I'm jinxing it but just look how well my kids get along.

Granted one of them just lays there not doing too much other than looking cross-eyed.  Seriously.  Check it out.

I hope them "playing" nice in her gym is a sign of good things to come.  Time will tell.
