We took Hud on his second beach trip this past week. Honestly, the first day there I was ready to pull my hair out and wanted to turn around and come back home. He was a screamer most of the way down and hardly slept at all, which I was banking on as being what would occupy him for most of the time. So he was wearing on my patients from the beginning. We set the pack 'n play up in our bedroom for him to sleep in so naturally he was up crying half of the night wanting me to get him out. Any sound we made woke him up. Cut to the next day and we moved his pack 'n play into our bathroom and he didn't give us any other trouble after that. It seems like making your child sleep in the bathroom would be considered some form of child abuse. Sometimes you've gotta do what ya gotta do. We aren't ashamed. We got two sunny days and the others were cloudy and rainy all day long.
I'm finished complaining now.
He really did do fine. He is walking so good now so he was everywhere! He even said "right back" and took off walking way down the beach by himself. Well not by himself...Casey was following...we really aren't coming off as great parents here are we? We rented a house that had it's own pool and was a very short walk to the beach so it worked out perfect for us. Hudson LOVED to play in the sand and sit right where the waves would come up on him. He wasn't even bothered when the waves would splash up on his head.
My oldest child, playing in the sand too.
Waiting to see Eclipse.
Luckily we didn't have any problems with oil. No signs of it at all. Well, there were some workers combing the beach everyday but we never could figure out what they were doing.
