Valentine's Day usually goes fairly ignored around here but I've found that since having kids we make a bigger deal about holidays. Even the smaller ones.
Casey has his men's group early on Tuesday mornings which means he is always gone before we even wake up. It's especially tough and hectic to get Hudson to school those days. He surprised me by staying to make breakfast and help me get the kids out the door.
We did little gifts for the kids.
We had to get Valentines for Hudson to hand out at his school this year. We attached them to some heart-shaped homemaid rice krispie treats that I found on Martha Stewart's website. We made these "sweetie-pies" for his teachers. Of course he got lots of candy from his friends and now is constantly asking to eat it.
